I bought Tikka T3x Ultralite .308 20" threaded barrel. When the paperwork is done I'll be putting a Banish 30 V2 suppressor on it.
Looking for suggestions on scope and mounting method. I think I want to go with a rail.

This will be my first experience running a suppressor, unsure of scope mount height needed to not be blocked by suppressor.
Scope I'd like to stay under $600, I've only ever had SFP scopes. Use is for Eastern whitetail, mostly woods under 150yds, some field hunting don't see myself taking shots past 4-500 at most.

Thanks

Your scope will “look around” the suppressor, you may be able to see a shadow of it in the bottom of your scope at magnification less than 4x but will not make a difference shooting. I’d mount your scope as low as possible to the barrel. Personally I would recommend a SWFA 3-15 or 3-9 for that price range. Probably UM direct mount tikka rings are the simplest answer for mounting, 30mm low will be what you want for 40-44mm objectives and a tikka lite barrel profile.

The Banish 30 V2 isn’t a particularly fat suppressor. Based upon my experience with similar diameter suppressors, you will be fine with low rings.

I second the recommendation for the SWFA 3-9x scope and the UM Tikka low rings. I currently have a SWFA and UM rings on all my Tikkas.

I do prefer to get the UM rings on sale. While they are a good item, I’d feel a lot better buying them at $99 than $130.

If you do decide to go with a rail, someone had some Farrell rings for sale on the classifieds. I’ve never used them, but they looked very well-made.

The big question is do you want to be able to dial for your longer shots or hold over with the reticle?

I'm in Cambria county, Johnstown area. Recently retired from the National Guard with monthly trips out to Ft Indiantown Gap, not sure how many trips I'll be making to that side of the state anymore. Appreciate the offer.

Don't sleep on the trijicon scopes for this application if you aren't prioritizing dialing. The huron is well liked and is sub 500
