You get what you pay for boss. Ask stupid questions get stupid answersThank you for sparing me, because I 100% wouldn't have listened.

Because you came to a detailed optics forum as an newbie, people tried to help you when it was widely considered your choices were ill suited for the application and you didn’t listen when a dozen different people tried to help you.
Yep you’re right. Good thing you brought up exit pupil which is a non issue.Because the OP didn’t understand any basic optical compromises so I wasn’t going to go into the half dozen other reasons they are heading towards the wrong optic.
It’s not an accident that rokslide is looking for a relatively low power, modest zoom ratio scope with a FFP reticle visible at all magnifications without illumination.
Most of the posters mean well. They don’t want you to waste money on an optic that they think is subpar for the use case. But it’s also RS which is cult like now when it comes to optics, especially scopes. Scope threads turn into SS’s a lot around here.Thank you for sparing me, because I 100% wouldn't have listened.

Was that the question? What Rokslide is looking for? I must of misread the OP’s post.
Thanks for bringing me back on track. I appreciate it.

Or just not posted…especially if you are going to ignore or get upset at people genuinely trying to help you out. You thought a 34mm tube would help with low light performance for hells sakes.SS in more than one way. People are Nazis with their responses, pushing their points to the point of indoctrination. I should have just posted a poll and said nothing.
Feedback on those three scopes would include suitability to the described task?Seems every thread is getting taken in a different direction lately. Guy is asking about 3 scopes, he has narrowed it down to. He specifically asks if anyone has any experience with said scopes. Then he gets met with all kinds of guys telling him, that is not what he wants or needs..... Now if he asked "is this a good scope for my intended purpose, or would you recommend others?" then I would expect the answers in this thread.

"Hey, I want to tow a 5th wheel with my Outback, an I get feedback on this specific vehicle's towing capability?"
-"The Outback isn't well suited for the job of a 3500 truck."
"Hey, I said stick to the Outback, I don't want to hear about a truck!"
The feedback seems to indicate something like that.
Sure it does. You lead with the task because it is paramount to the decision. Otherwise you'd have left it out. Then, you encouraged folks to share their opinions.Hello Folks,
I am looking for a new scope for whitetail hunting (up to 400 yards) ....
I look forward to your opinions!
It would be helpful for those with experience using the scopes you ask about if you can ask your specific questions? Nothing more, nothing less, so folks' input can stay within your narrow scope. No, it actually doesn't include suitability for the task. I couldn't care less what people have to say about the task. I only care about their input on the (3) scopes mentioned, nothing more, nothing less.

Ok I'm 85% sure you're not actually serious, but on the off chance I've miscalculated...
If you care zero about the experiences and opinions of the people you're asking for advice, why ask at all?
There is a unanimous (or close enough) response that there are far more effective tools for the task you described than your top three choices. Does that not give you a little bit of pause? If that input has so little value to you, why does anything else we would say have any value?
The internet is not a place for you if you only want opinions that agree with your preconceived notions. If you really want a sub 400 yard, low-light scope, forget everything you think you know and consider an S&B 8x56. But frankly an SWFA 6x would likely do everything you need for $300.Folks - Please don't try to talk me into going to a lower power. It's just not going to happen. I'd just like opinions on the ones I posted above.
I don't care at all about their thoughts about me using that level of scope. I'm going to do it regardless. I already clarified that my 5-25x50 ain't cutting it and I need more zoom. People can dispute it, hate it, whatever - but it ain't cutting it for me.
So I'm upgrading and asked for opinions on (3) specific scopes. If that's too hard for people to manage, then forget about it. If they can manage, then yes, I would greatly value their opinions.

That Ford Focus would look amazing. In that case, I 100% stand behind my recommendation to hunt with a 7-35 ATACR and to pull your camper with a Ford Focus (but get the RS, it's got more HP)
Because you are wasting your $ and being an idiot.Oh my Lord chief, who the hell cares? I couldn't give 2 shits less that you've used less powerful scopes.
I am asking about (3) specific scopes. How in the hell is that so hard for people to weigh in on?

Does one of your hunting buddies have a bigger scope curently and you want to one-up him around the campfire? That's a serious question, don't let pride get in your way of a good choice versus a less than stellar choice.
