What time do all you geezers get up in the morning?

Younger geezer here, but I usually wake up around 4:30am. Wife doesn’t like it but hoping it pays off when the first kid shows up soon.
Lol my youngest is now 12 and nothing will or can prepare a new dad for the lack of sleep they will get. I am up at 5 every day and lucky to sleep till 7 on the weekend. My kids still make sure I don't get sleep. With 3 kids i am running somewhere just about every night.

Unless I’m going hunting, fishing or have an early appointment, I wake up whenever I wake up, or the dogs decide it’s time. This time of year that usually between 5:30-6:00. In winter it’s more like 7:00. Fortunately, my job is very flexible on when I work. I don’t work hours, I work results and that gives me total flexibility.

For nearly 50 duck seasons I was up around 3:00 AM to go duck hunting and I did that a lot every season. 8 years ago, I shifted my duck hunting to Idaho from California and we often hunt afternoons and shooting time is later anyway due to a northerly latitude, so now when I’m duck hunting I usually sleep in until 6:00 and often past 7:00. Afternoon duck hunting is a wonderful thing.

I'm 61 and still work a full-time job. I've always been nocturnal and rarely go to bed before 1am. I wake up every morning at 7am like clockwork. If I have to get up early to go fishing or hunting, I'm in bed by 11pm and have no problem getting going.

I find I can get up around 4:30-5:00, eat breakfast with a cup of coffee and then, go right back to sleep. I have a 2.3 mile commute and don't have to be at work until around 8:00 am.

60 now, About 5 years ago, the body decided that 6 hours sleep was enough, so bed, lights out around 10 and the body says wakie, wakie at 4. Read for an hour while the wife snores beside me, then up at 5, workout for an hour, hour dog walk, then off to work. No naps for this guy.

Now, I can stretch it out to 7 hours some days and the same routine weekdays and on the weekend, still wake up around 5, but read or go for a walk until the wife gets up.

Retiring soon, but the routine will not change.

Cheers
