Hi all,
Not the normal thread for this forum probably but figured worth a shot. I’m “perfecting” my rifle for my first trip to Mammoth next January and having a little bit of analysis paralysis over my optic choice.
Scope needs to be able to deal with 30 miles of rucking and rough travel and whatever Georgia January (not too bad probably, but possible ice and mud)
Currently my rifle wears a dmr 2 pro. I’m trying to decide if I should “upgrade” for better glass quality in terms of shadowy targets or mirage busting.And/ Or “upgrade” to lose half a pound of ruck weight.
Is there anything within 500ish $ of a dmr pro on the used market that anyone thinks would be a genuine advantage or should I just call it a day and use what I have?
It seems the true upgrades I can think of are an atacr, pm2, maybe a March fx all of which are in the 2-2.5k zone so 12-1400$ more than my bushy.
