While not everyone can embrace the cost, weight penalty and size of NF scopes I can guarantee you one thing. They are friggin' bulletproof...you can hang pictures with them. And if you do somehow manage to pooch yours, you won't be sending it to Europe for repairs and waiting months for it to be returned. You'll get it back from NightForce in probably a couple of weeks. They are built tough. If you're hard on your equipment like I am...that's a significant consideration.

I’m with you!

Winchester M70 7x57 with 6x36. According to some, I shouldn’t be able to hit anything with it!

That is a nice rig! I'm not too partial to wood on rifles anymore (do they still make em that way?). But it sure is nice to see them when the wood has character. I did restock a Marlin lever with a fine English walnut stock because I always wanted a nice lever gun and one gun with a really nice wood stock on it. You have yours, for sure.

And, nice scope!

The other benefit to a Nightforce is, apparently, you can drive fence posts with them. I have little doubt they are good scopes. Given the price and weight of the top end models, they better be. I'd just have to hire a bwana/sherpa to carry my rifle.
