Got the trijicon credo 3x9. Cross hairs in the center are to thin for hunting. I probably would not have bought if I saw it in a store.

I have not figured out how to get the LED on, hopefully that helps with thin cross hairs,

I like how it comes with cover like leupold used to. Like that it looks like you can slip scales without using allen. I like that. I would zero them more often if this easy.

The Up and R on the turrets could be bigger, probably just as bad as everyone else. I think it should be huge font. I have wondered before if I adjusted the wrong one.

In general I think everything should have huge font.

Waiting for low base rings to arrive, I ordered medium, and seconded guessed myself. Amazon lost lows, and ordered again.

Maybe they shipped with a spacer in the battery to prevent it from draining or turning on in the box?

Agree with you on the R and U, should be bold and huge. I always have to triple check then still second guess and look again.

Does your new Credo have the illuminated dot or illuminated crosshairs? I don't like the super fine crosshairs either, with my eyes I see two or three different vertical lines but the horizontal will be normal.

Hey man.

I used to use Leupolds and was given 5-10 scopes a year from a sponsor. I used to love them and even recommend them to everyone I shot with. Even gave friends scopes to try and use.

I had two VX-5s and a VX-6 crap out on me starting with small symptoms like you described. I do not own any Leupold scopes currently after a 4th failure cost me a big game animal.

I moved on to Meopta with excellent results but after some heavy use they started showing horizontal reticle shift. This happened on 3 different Meoptas so I started to look in another direction.

I moved on to SWFA after doing some reading here on Rokslide. I currently own 2 fixed 6 and a 3-9 and they have been nothing short of an excellent hunting scope.

Just today I took my Tikka 7SAUM out for a quick 200 yard, 10 shot verification group. I also setup the chronograph as it was about 50 degreees warmer than last time I chrono’d this new rifle build. This rifle uses the SWFA 3-9.

On my very first shot, the bullet case got jammed in the throat. I tried to slam it forward and get it to chamber but it was clearly a bad piece of brass that I must have chambered just slightly off. I couldn’t close the bolt and now had a very stuck round in my rifle.

I didn’t have the right tool to try and extract it with me in the jeep so I proceeded to slam the butt stock as hard as I could into my jeep steel bumper, with the barrel facing up. I’d did this about 10-12 times before the round finally dropped out.

After this I said to myself, if this scope is still zeroed after using the rifle as a hammer I’m going to laugh.

3 minutes and 10 shots later…

I got fine cross hairs. I didn't realize you turn knob for LED to come on. With so many numbers I thought it was parallax. Seems like to many numbers.

The arguement for lighted rectiles has been, if the LED failed you could use as a regular scope. I tend to think the fine is to fine for hunting. I do like the big think green cross. But its not on rifle yet or an animal. I think I'll like it though, But maybe get paranoid if it fails, and having to use thin recticle.

I got 243 and 223 that need scopes, which I bought/won for coyotes, but just shoot paper and practice. So ould end up there.

I tens to think I like push button on off better, but see once it is one rifle.

What a people using for coins these days? Ha. I have not been carryong my coin purse, to my junk in my pockets.

Small font is just a sign of the times...
Manfucatorers or us?? I try to force myself to use cheaters so I don't do something stupid. Last adjustment was fairly dark Made quik change, Maybe the dark and bad shot, but it sure seemed to go other horizontal, not up. Only got one in, so will see. And it was dark.

But Giant R and U and arrow should be on them

Looking around house with it, that rectile is useless without LED. Completely dissapears.

I got 44 standard duplex. Based on that I would say do not buy. $600 for a practice scope. But I am to far along in this not to try it. I worry if LED fails, it will be about useless

If you would have used your cheaters adjusting the Leupold this thread may not exist. :)

Man, I skimmed through a little, this thread is raising my eyebrows. I have a credo 3-9 right in front of me. The credo ships with the battery in a small ziplock bag inside the box--there is no battery in the scope when you get it, just like every other illuminted scope I've ever purchased, you have to either put the battery in or remove the protective barrier that prevents draining the battery. It turns on just like almost every other scope does, by turning the dial on the left side of the scope body. I think not reading the instructions disqualifies anyone from complaining about that feature.
reticle center section is a bit wider than a leupold duplex becasue the Leupy the thick part of the bars extends almost to the actual center of the scope. The actual center crosshairs arent any thinner on the credo, just a wider center-section. I'm 50 and need readers, and its still thick enough for hunting in new england brush agsint a very noisy background...but it illuminates quite nicely if needed, it's a really good illumination and is definitely daylight-bright for me. Also, did you adjust the diopter?
MK machining makes a turret magnifier that is kind of awesome for geezers who need readers.

My leuold you push a button for firedot. The trijicon looked like a paralax dial with all the numbers on it.

The cross hairs on my leupolds stand out incredibly better. Blows the trijicon away. I would not have bought it if I saw it first. It is junk recticle. Only useable with led.

Today I help up leupold and credo in house. Credo rectile is useless. I don't even undetstand why they would make this scope.

As for not reading instructions, I just opened it quick. I did not read the instructions on leupold, just push the button. Intuitive.

No I am very dissapointed in the rectile. Debating if I should even mount it. But I need another scope on this rifle by Thursday, to go to my camp.

I am really doubting this scope. This is the second my expensive scope I own, and I don't like it. Hard pill to swallow.

Just looked through credo 3x9 standard, cheap freedom and vx5. Credo is the worse. It may hold zero, but really won't mater cause you can't see.

The middle is awful, to thin, soon as you put it on something other than white it is gone. The out cross hairs are extremely faint to. They do no stand out like a $350 leupold freedom.

Not sure I got time to get another brand before Thursday. I don't think it is even good for target shoot. Maybe tactical where you are shooting big area. but do you need 3x9 for an ar-15 house sweeper?

The 3-9 credo you got, which reticle/model did you get. If you hate it, I’d trade you a 6x swfa moa model and probably throw a few $$$ your way

I am sure I can send it back for a refund. But that doesn't do me any good.

With the LED it is good. If that fails it is useless. It is also disposible scope. Some point the LED will fail. I don't know when that is 10-20 years? When you need it?

The black stands out awful too.
