so first thing ill say is these are probably the most comfortable boots ive put on my feet that said they are advertised 100% waterproof and i went on a hike and crossed several run offs and at the end of the hike my feet felt damp and socks were damp. so i decided to give them a call and they said that it was likely condensation from my foot heating up and the icy run off water. I thought this made since, id like to point out that they were very quick to say that i could return if i felt they were defective. there customer service seems great, but has anyone had any experience with this?

I love mine, and when I was at their store in Bozeman they had several and I mean several pairs of used boots that were sent back for different reasons and they honored the warranty or exchange policy. The salesmen told me most were fit issues and the folks returned them for a different model. I don't think I can ever wear any other boots after having the Beartooths.

I have never had any issues with mine leaking as of yet. No idea how many miles are on them.

I'll agree with the customer service, quality of the boots, and how they fit. I bought a pair of Absarokas a few months ago, maybe have about 30+ miles in them now and they are hands down the BEST boot I have put on my feet. I haven't actually dunked my boots in any crossings yet, but they have seen sloppy/snowing conditions and I haven't noticed any leaking. I went on a hike yesterday where I didn't touch water once and at the end of it, my socks were damp; guess my feet just sweat.

I'd say if you are really wanting to test them out to make sure it was foot condensation and not water leaking in; fill up the bathtub to ankle deep, and stand in it. You'll learn pretty quick if yours are defective

Yeah I'm going to try the bathtub test and see but yeah I probably won't be going to a different boot company it'll likely be these and the granites from here on out

I too have beartooths, the insulated version. I have worn them in all conditions; snow, mud bottoms, creek crossings, you name it. Ive never had a leak in mine and they are 5 years going now. If you take care of them, they will take care of you. I did have to put in a pair of aftermarket insoles, but its all good. Every time I put them on it reminds me of what a great value they are. The pair prior to these delaminated from being wet during a pheasant hunt. I said never again! Spent the money and never looked back.

My wife hunts hard. Had nothing but foot problems. Bought her boot after boot after boot. On way to Olympic peninsula salmon fishing trip we stopped in Bozeman and went in Schnees, ended up getting her the beartooths. Problem solved. Best money I spent in a long time. Shes had them about 4 years now. Awesome quality, you would need a gun to take them away from her lol. Its an individual gait and foot shape deal but your not going to beat the quality or find people who stand behind what they sell better.

I have a pair of Granites that I've put a lot of miles on. In fact I wear them almost everyday for work in the winter. They are still 100% waterproof and perform well.

I will say that they are not nearly as stiff as when they were new, so if you want stiffer boots than the beartooth get the granite or absaroka. Also I have low volume feet and needed green superfeet to make them fit.

100% agree with what everyone is saying, awesome company love the boots, I am in the manufacturing business so I understand things happen so just wanting to see if you all with experience feel that the whole condensation story makes sense. In theory i feel its logical just want some others feedback.
