Savage Axis Threaded

Has anyone threaded a Savage Axis rifle for suppressor? Im about to hop on a 7mm-08 for my son and i would like to thread is. I wouldnt see why i would have issue but figured id ask.

Depends on the barrel contour if there’s is enough material to cut threads. If you have a gunsmith local to you I’d ask him to take a look.

The sporter thin barrel will be too small for 5/8-24 but you might be able to do 9/16-24 or 1/2-28
