Failed on the up after the hold on 13 again. Made it to an unofficial 15 yesterday without the music and just holding a count at the bottom of each rep and then 2 8-count holds. Thought I would get farther on an official try today. Finished it out from my knees, which is still plenty challenging after going to failure.

I just did the 12- rest a minute- 12- rest a minute- 12- sucked bad!

If I ever am able to do the full 3 minute-ish routine; I'll never do it again :D

Did this again today- sucked even worse! Probably because I strength trained earlier which included bench press and dips (and core)???

It's called the "pushup" challenge, but has little do with pushups imo. I don't have any trouble with pushups doing the Murph wod which requires 200 of them; the other day I knocked out 75 in a single set- this is different, very different (and evil! :D)

I did sets of 10 sec holds in the down position with 5 sec "rest" in the up position. Did 3 reps then rested 45 seconds and repeat. Made it through 3 rounds. Hoping it helps with the holds. I feel stupid developing a whole workout program just to complete a challenge!

I survived the 18 count hold on the down and made it to 30. I did a chest workout early this morning. Not feeling so great. LOL
Heart rate was 132. My shoulder rate felt like 500. I did 30 with three seconds left on the timer. How are you guys getting to 35 or more ie - what program are you using? This is a tough one. Good job to those that are doing it and striving to get better. Might take a while to get to 35 if there’s another hold on the down! I really despise that part of the song.

I use the original video that is posted in the first post. When that is done and he drops after 30, I have my kids start the video at the beginning of the challenge that I have queued up in a second tab.

I’ve just been doing this challenge and my normal chest, arms, and shoulder workouts rotated every three days, with legs every third day at the end of the day.

I do notice that when I wear my athletic shoes during the challenge it is easier. Not sure if it’s psychological, but it’s proven out every time.
