Sako 90 FinnLight - First Look - Some availability

The Finnlights are all that camo, Correct
Sako just launched the Sako Select program, So we have access to all of Tikka & Sako's catalog that was not previously imported. Stainless hunters, Grizzlys, the whole works. I'm sure that there is a rifle in the catalog for everyone's tastes

( They make a 20" stainless fluted 9.3x62 grizzly that is seriously calling my name )

@EuroOptic
Are you able to get bare actions?

It’s 15oz over 5lbs, that’s not a touch.

I was skeptical too, but the scale don’t lie.

I’d bet if there was group buy available on Sako 90 actions, especially the XS actions there would be a good bit of interest. Or group buy on finnlights in 223. There are probably a bunch of guys on accurateshooter who would buy mini actions too. The L461 actions are still highly sought after for builds. There are no other high quality mini actions/rifles available. While niche, there is a good size demand. Most people just don’t want to pay $2600 for a full rifle when they intend to pull the barrel or stock right out the gate.

Agreed. If Sako XS actions were available at a reasonable cost I’d rather pay for them than go to the trouble of designing the t2x.

No hunters with the pic rail, But I can now import the grizzly's
Wood stock, Pic rail, Fluted barrel, Stainless or blued, threaded or non threaded
Is there a Sako catalog or somewhere we can get more info on this? Chamberings and weight, etc.

I saw where @EuroOptic updated the website to include these for sale, but no weights listed.
A new .308 or 30-06 might be in my future with one of these configurations.

How long from order to delivery for a Grizzly off your website @EuroOptic?
Im working on some kind of catalog, I have a super rudimentary "build sheet" from Sako at the moment.
ETA on all the "Select rifles" is 6-12 months. Safe bet is about a year as they are built to order and sent overseas too us.

As soon as the “catalog” is available, please let us know.
A stainless grizzly in .308 with a 20” barrel would be ideal!

The Finnight is a great rifle. I have an 85 that I like a lot, but Sako missed the mark if it doesn’t have a carbon fiber stock like the weatherby backcountry.

The Sako looks sweet, but over 7 is a bit chonky.

Don't mean to sidetrack, but what makes the Roughtech Superlite so much lighter (a pound?) than the regular Superlite? Can't be just the bolt fluting...

In Sako, the 90 Adventure is lighter weight than the 90 Finnlight. This is likely attributable to it lacking an adjustable cheek riser. The 90 Peak has the CF stock and is lightest.

In Tikka, the Roughtech Superlite isn’t a pound lighter than the regular Superlite. That’s bad data. The primary weight reduction of the Roughtech Superlite typically comes from the shorter barrel.
