Sad day for Canadian gun owners

Actually, defining "arms" is the most important. Nobody cares if your ability to shoot a slingshot off your porch is infringed. Determining how "arms" is defined will lead to how people feel about whether their rights have in fact, already been "infringed."

I think if we look at the intent of the second we can come to a close consensus on how arms are defined. Since the 2nd was designed to match a militia against a militia you would want to make sure that they are as equally matched as possible. Being that most armies or militias use some type of semi auto or full auto rifle that should be what is defined as arms (to me). You wouldn't want your militia with slingshots to have to face off with a militia that has M4s. Because of that I think that all law abiding citizens should be allowed to own a full auto the same as the government.

What should we expect from a leader who voluntarily took a second 14 day quarantine, after his required 14 day quarantine ended due to his exposure to his infected wife. Despite ZERO medical advice or medical precedent to do so.

Every single leader in both the US and Canada in the last 25 years I have been able to find some level of respect for. Yes, even Trump. But Trudeau is an embarrassment. He is a horrible human being. Less then 1/3 of the country wanted him to lead, but he still got in a second time.

I have never been more embarrassed to be a Canadian.

Yes by accident or maybe not. I have to get out my deadly over/under I use a few times a year destroying helpless pieces of clay and measure the bore with the chokes out. I might have a prohibited O/U.

it’s pretty funny my O/U may be prohibited but my 870 with a 14” barrel is still good to pack around because it doesn’t have removable chokes. It even has a holographic laser guided heat seaking reflex destroyer sight on it! I wonder if I could make it shoot murder hornets too?

Yes and yes. The CCFR (Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights) has just announced they are putting together a legal challenge. Protests are being organized and mass non compliance is being recommended.

The “error” of possibly prohibiting 10 and 12 gauge shotguns with removable chokes has just increased the number of affected Canadians at least ten fold.

Unfortunately many of the guns now prohibited were previously restricted which means they were limited to range use and had to be registered so they know we have those guns. It will be difficult to keep those at the end of the 2 year amnesty.

To give you an idea of numbers;
About 37 million people in canada
About 2.5 million licensed gun owners
Original prohibition affected about 125000 guns
The shotgun oops ads at least a few million more prohibited guns and at least another million affected Canadians.
Strength in numbers!

My feeling is that the interpretation of 'arms' isn't the most important part of the Second.

The words that ring out to me are "shall not be infringed."

And our rights have been greatly infringed and it will never stop.

The Canadian Supreme Court ruled in 1993 that unlike Americans, Canadians did not have a Constitutional Right to bear arms. Gun rights are not mentioned in their Constitution. We are lucky....they are not.

So...it appears that soon after Canada removes everyone's firearms, the plan is to "invite" the communist Chinese military to "test" an experimental vaccine on the Canadian civilian population. Interesting.

So...it appears that soon after Canada removes everyone's firearms, the plan is to "invite" the communist Chinese military to "test" an experimental vaccine on the Canadian civilian population. Interesting.

They have a link to a go fund me to help with legal costs where they set a goal of $50K yesterday afternoon and less than 24 hours later they have just over $45k donated. Other retailers have donated to them as well as a US supplier. I think this may have united the Canadian gun community more than the Lieberal(communist) party of Canada had anticipated.

The comments on that article are telling as to how Canadians feel about the communist party of China.

It amazes me how the liberals can lump all of us law abiding gun owners in with the criminals so easily yet can't say a bad word on China and get into bed with them so much.

It can't be much of a surprise though...
