Last couple nights I had bucks come out right at end of legal shooting light and I could have used a little more brightness than my RS1.2 offered. Got me looking at the 3-12 polars with a similar reticle/turret setup to the klassik. Anyone compared the two?

I haven’t tried the Polar, but have you tried the Klassic? It was brighter to my eyes than the RS1.2 is.

Klassic is better than the Maven to my eyes.
Polar is better than the Klassic to me.
Large objective Polar is the low light king unless you find a Leica Magnus illuminated center dot which hasn't been available in the US in over 2 years. Flip a coin on those 2 for low light hunting, but I preferred the illumination adjustments on the Magnus.

I haven’t tried a polar or the Maven so I can’t be of much help there. I will say for what ever reason the glass on my Klassik has been by far my favorite. I have been using Swfa scopes for the past few seasons along with a 4-14 shv and a 4-16 Atacr, prior to that were various leupolds, nxs, and 3-10 shv. The Klassik to me has the best picture especially in low light. I really like the 3-12 and it’s “short comings” really aren’t much of a factor for my hunting, ie the 4.8mil turret and 1 mil graduations. I really like how bold the outer posts are on the Klassik compared to other scopes it really is much faster to acquire on low power in lower light. I found myself going to higher power on other ffp scopes to see the reticle which further hurt the low light visibility.
