Running holster or chest pack

Figured most of the runners would see this here. What holsters are ya'll using while trail or street running?

I saw in this thread chest holsters for backcountry running alot of people mentioned the Hill People Gear chest rig. Downside I see with chest packs is slow to draw, but upside is some protection from sweat.

I've also considered a belly band one like this , but figure it would get sweaty and might be irritating

Anyone try an ankle holster?

I have a Razco for my 43x on bino harness, and have the strap to run it alone. I really only need something for a LCP though. I guess I'll have to give the Razco a try and see.

My first HPG was for this very purpose back in 2011. I still use it today. You get used to the draw, and realistically it isn't any slower than a belly band or regular holster if you practice. I carry a P365 and the runners kit bag holds it with my phone enough that it's not bouncy while running.

Love my mid sized Hill People Gear. Comfortable carry for Glock 20 and down. Discreet on the trail or river and I with proper placement of the zippers, you can “rip” and draw pretty fast.

I do not have such a holster. Just want to thank someone for finally using the word “running” in an appropriate way and proper context….

Best I've found is my VNSH belly band. I also tried just putting it in the pocket of a running vest and that was WAY too bouncy. Those are the only two ways I've tried. The HPG chest pack looks like it would work pretty well.

When I was running, I had a HPG Runner Snubby in grey ripstop (held a G43, spare mag, light and a few other bits). It comes with an optional shock cord strap that weighs a fraction of an ounce and alleviates any bounce.

The grey ripstop snubby attracted zero attention and with a little practice you could present the weapon pretty darn quickly. There is a loop at the bottom of the pack you can attach a trigger guard "holster"

I have an HPG recon kit bag - full size. It's the same as the runner's but it has the molle on the front. I've been wearing it running for a few weeks now and am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I do recommend their little elastic strap that helps stabilize it when running.

I have a HPG chest rig and it is awesome.

If it wasn't so professionally unacceptable, I'd wear mine all day every day and not use my pants pockets. It's as handy as a shirt pocket except gigantic.

I do need to get one of the elastic things for bounce control though. Loaded up with pistol phone wallet knife it gets heavy.

This. I use the same snubby. Currently carry G45 and phone every run. Works great. Take it on vacation for a jog around new parts. Blends perfectly.
