Chest rig experiences? FHF vs HPG

I have the Original Kit Bag and the Recon. Tried couple seasons to get to work for bow hunting and just general wear. The draw is very, very slow, and kinda noisy (used it for pistol hunting deer). Carrying a pistols and binos never worked for me and I didn't want the bino pouch sticking out the front to get caught on my bowstring.
You can get WAY TOO much stuff into an Original and a Heavy Recon, and it sticks out quite a bit...then you add a bino harness too it.
I may try adding the bino pouch to the Recon and see how that goes, but I'd stay away from the Original or Heavy Recon if you are bow hunting.

Reached out to FHF and it looks like their pack will be a little too small for my needs. But here is the pic they sent me for reference:


At this point Im leaning towards the kifaru steelhead. Looks big enough for everything and i like the rip zip draw.

Personally, I wouldn't want my weapon exposed everytime i needed my binos, seems like a good way for it to fall out or casue an accident

No, they have double zippers. You bring both zippers to one corner. You reach up and grab corner of pack with hand and pull down and out. Zippers pull open. There is a video on the HPG page.

No fricking way. No way no how. I mean if your transporting a pistol to point b from a sure, but in a crappy situation relying on that system to make a speed draw. No wayyyyyyy.
Thing is made with plastic buckles and your relying on zippers, which do bind. Ontop of that, do you know how many draws someone has to make with a basic holster to become efficient enough to be fast and on target. These things are a joke.
Thing is , most people don’t know how inperative a speed draw is until it’s needed. It happens instantaneous. For whatever reason so many people think they’ll see a threat, have time to think about it and then begin a draw process. No way, if I was carrying a pistol for protection, there’s no world in which it would be housed inside a pack with a zipper and plastic buckles.
