Absolutely. In Georgia it has to be 22 cal or larger center fire to be legal. Otherwise I would shoot a 22 magnum when it comes to doe killing. That 22 hornet I had was alot of fun to shoot, I imagine a 17 hornet will be just as fun. Like a juiced to the gills 17 hmr but better.

Don't underestimate a 17 Hornet 20 grain, at 50 yards, it cut a cinder block in half, leaving a 3-inch hole i'll post a picture of it.

75% of things shot with the hornet, the entry hole is virtually nonexistent, seldom an exit, a cinder block is a different animal.

My 77/17 Hornet is an early one. Fantastic rifle. I've killed just about everything to be killed on the ranch with it.....

Does a good job on coons one shot DRT.Coyotes out to 300 yards if you can shoot out to 250 a walk in the park,Hornady Superformance.

All I’m seeing is this is round and the ruger is a certified killer. I called in a bobcat the other night here in Michigan. Season is closed until January and we can’t hunt them at night. Sure was cool to see nonetheless, I’m hoping he stays around till January lol.
