Absolutely. In Georgia it has to be 22 cal or larger center fire to be legal. Otherwise I would shoot a 22 magnum when it comes to doe killing. That 22 hornet I had was alot of fun to shoot, I imagine a 17 hornet will be just as fun. Like a juiced to the gills 17 hmr but better.

Don't underestimate a 17 Hornet 20 grain, at 50 yards, it cut a cinder block in half, leaving a 3-inch hole i'll post a picture of it.

Hopefully it doesn’t do that to a cat, if given the chance. I would like something nice to bring to the taxidermist!

75% of things shot with the hornet, the entry hole is virtually nonexistent, seldom an exit, a cinder block is a different animal.
