Has anyone used a rokstok in a high recoiling rifle? I have a mind virus to get one made for my 375 H&H. I'm wondering if the felt recoil on your shoulder is worse since all of the recoil energy is going straight back into your shoulder, and none of it towards muzzle rise.

I ordered one for my 9.3x62. I won’t have it for a few months though. I ordered it in fancy maple with no wood removed from the buttstock. I’ve been doing a lot of napkin math to get the rifle’s total weight up to around 10 pounds without going too far over. Using a 22 ounce scope and a 16 ounce suppressor should help that a lot.

I had a M70 one made before I started getting into Tikkas and getting rid of my M70s. I had a 300WM that I had not shot in over a decade but that I recalled being my only M70 that was a really good shooter. I threw a SWFA 3-15 on it yesterday and put a box through it. I certainly did not shoot it as well as my lighter calibers but it shot pretty well. Plan to start messing with it over new years and see if I can get the RS fitted on it. Guessing I will at least need to bed it and likely do some other fitting.

I will for sure at a backfire recoil pad. Interested to see how it will work out.

Very cool, I will check back in with both you guys. But the more I think about it, I'll bet the effects are negligible, since muzzle rise doesn't happen until after the shoulder's been hit.

Any overall thoughts on the backfire pads vs spacers and a regular pad? One of my rokstocks came without spacers and the LOP with one of these is pretty much dead on the same as a spacer kit and one spacer. I feel like it reduces felt recoil a little more but also might add a touch to muzzle rise. It does shave a little weight.

Biggest dowside is they want you to store it with that little cage on to to not compress the pad.

Anyway does not matter on my 223 but debating if I want them on my 6s and 6.5s.

Yes. I just leave it in the same spot in the safe. When it sits for more than a few days it goes on

Ive got one in drop shadow orange as well and it will also be the first lite I order.

I painted one of my bare carbons but the other I may just sell as they are not making them anymore and I figure someone may want one.
