I really appreciate everything you guys did to get this to the point it is. I knew something was up when my phone was blowing up

I'm still having a hard time seeing how the 90° toe is advantageous to field use.Shooting performance. There is no upside in spotting shots or straight line recoil to a sloped toe. The reason that all stocks are sloped is because that’s how they were always made- no one a hundred years ago used a bag under the butt. It is an anachronism with no real thought behind it.
As for adjusting elevation, it is far better to do that with front rest height, and/or rear bag/rest height. For the rear, a stiff or very full rear bag is not the way for a field bag. You want room for the bag to compress, and for you to be able to squeeze it to adjust for height.
Really wish I could see what the actual green carbon one looks like

Often in the field i dont have time to mess with my front rest and also don't want to get out of the scope/sight picture to adjust the front. With a sloped toe i can make adjustments without ever taking my eyes off the target by sliding forward and aft.
I see the intended purpose of straight back recoil but a straight line toe seems more practical on a bench gun than a field rifle.
And I dont mean a significant degree, maybe 15° to the grip would be all thats needed
Better order the Sendero contour, you can pack maximum dead cats in that one with the sporter barrelHow many cats do you own?

No there's only one or two. One being the game warden lr, but its not perfect. You can also just raise or lower the rear end. This isn’t a hard thing.
There are plenty of stocks made for you then.
If I couldn’t get a LE, bare carbon was my plan B for that reason. I hope this project benefits all involved because it certainly created some chaos for them, and we’ll never see that side to fully appreciate how tall of a task they took on. Pretty impressive, and I guess if there is a right time of year for it, this is it… still though600 emails.. my lord. Hope all the option flexibility helped you guys sell a bunch more because that sounds like a nightmare to work through!
Edit to add: makes a guy think the bare carbon option might have been best just to avoid a possible backlog of hundreds of one off paint schemes.
Considering your issue is a main point the stock exists and the main design influencer disagrees with you I doubt that lolNo there's only one or two. One being the game warden lr, but its not perfect.
The rokstok is close as well but not there either.
Maybe a second generation will be released eventually to address the issues.
Wedge or not the stock is flatUse a versatile bag that is more than a wedge.
It's 100% intentionally designed that way. If you want one that isn't flat you need to be looking at different options.the stock is flat
Its a design flaw, but to each his own.Considering your issue is a main point the stock exists and the main design influencer disagrees with you I doubt that lol
Someone needs to tell AI, Manners, the US Navy, and others that their flat bottom stock design is flawed for field use.Its a design flaw, but to each his own.
I dont want to influence anyone else's decision though because I think UM does good work.
I'll stop commenting about it now, but to your point typically manufacturers will take input from current and prospective customers about the products.
You need to open your mind and try the suggestions given. I don’t care one whit if a stock is flat or angled as I can make either work with the bags I use and carry. One bag is a rectangular with 3 options for height. At each height I can squeeze it to make fine adjustments without needing to move the rifle forward or backwards. The second bag is a pint can with two options for height with the same squeeze to adjust. If needed you can stack the pint on top of the flat rectangular bag giving even more options.Wedge or not the stock is flat

That was my thought and choice. My last stockys carbon stock was ordered the same way and it arrived in a timely manner.Edit to add: makes a guy think the bare carbon option might have been best just to avoid a possible backlog of hundreds of one off paint schemes.
