I think the rokstok is gorgeous.
Is it just the fact that it ain't normal?
If it works I'm all over it.
If it works well for most people, the look will grow on everyone who doesn’t like it aesthetically (besides those that think anything but a traditional sporter stock is unacceptable)

A few years ago I bought the ugliest compound there was, now I actually like the looks of those bows… owning, shooting and appreciate the design, it filled its niche better than anything in its class, totally changed the perceived look for me

Certain classic lines and designs just look good, even if they don’t work well, but beyond that, I think function changes style.

I don’t mind how it looks at all, but I also appreciate all of the thought that went into it, and I assume that’s why. If I had not read anything about the rokstok and just saw a picture without explanation, I certainly wouldn’t think it was a pretty stock, or eye pleasing lines, but I think that’s the point… make it work as good as possible and it will look like whatever it looks like, that’s what’s cool about this project they took on.

I wish everything was designed with that mindset

Not to long ago I thought vertical grips were ugly. Most of it is just what people are use to.

Though, nothing synthetic is pretty, I've just come to accept that ugly guns are the most useful in the environments I use them in.

Curious.
1) Why do you have the white [tape?] on the barrel just behind the suppressor?
2) What are you using to cover the can?
Not him, but it’s likely electrical tape to cover the muzzle. A lot of us tape it up and have extra tape for after the shot.

Some pics to me it looks awful and some it looks pretty good; I think it’s just a matter of what finish it has and the angles of the picture. I’m sure it’s plenty functional

I think that banded paint job is pretty awful.

@Unknown Munitions, the next time I have you paint a stock, please keep @Formidilosus away from the paint room. 😀

Yep, in this case ...

Function follows FORM.
