Enjoyed the podcast. I have had to compensate my grip on every production stock due to the grip-trigger distance. The one exception is my custom made walnut stock on my Barrett Fieldcraft. Seems like this may finally be short enough for me. On my 338 Fed Tikka I get a fair amount of muzzle rise. This should address that too.

Food for thought: The 84M is a rifle that could really benefit from this set of features. If you could incorporate a detachable mag, you’d really make a fantastic mountain hunting rifle.

Man I’d be ecstatic for this stock on a Kimber! I made my own negative comb and offset vertical grip stock ages ago for mine and it changed the gun entirely! But I’m not a stock maker and it looks a little rough

ROKSTOK UPDATE 12/27/2023

- The Rokstok will be at SHOT show in @Stockys booth for you to fondle
- We had to cancel the LE Gold color due to carbon issues, only 9 stocks were purchased in that color and I have notified all of those individual customers directly and offered them free Cerakote or LE Green color. No you other guys cannot have free Cerakote.
- The first Tikka Railed mold will be delivered to Stockys this week, then we should have the first stock to test in a couple weeks. We will keep all of you involved in @Formidilosus rigorous testing regiment.
- The pre sale has went well, newsletters are going out next week then we may have to shut the pre sale down until all orders are filled.
- The target is to fill all initial pre orders by end of March 2024 and at some point have stocks in stock.
- Nearly 90% of all stocks sold so far are Tikka!!!!
- Rail stats: None 18%, Picatinny 12%, Arca 12%, Arca/Pic 38%, Spartan/Pic 20%

It’s not just you- there are several that have. I/we give simple, quick and direct answers, we get “but why?” We answer the “but why”, we get “that’s a waste of my time to read/listen to”.

The answers are in this thread, the linked thread about chassis versus stocks, and that podcast.
And with all that, most aren’t actually buying.

I enjoyed the podcast.

Black walnut, high laquer for me please.
Yes!

The bit about wood being a future option was a highlight.

As was @PNWGATOR as a late special guest ... he's even more eloquent in person than online!

And I especially loved that early on, Form somewhat played down how different this stock is, but PNWGATOR simply called it as a game changer.

I did a quick guess this morning and think they are between 62 and 150 based on the numbers still avaliable on the website.

Thats not too bad considering they haven't sent out any promotional material on IG or X or email.

I think there is another group of people sitting on the fence to see how people like it.

I am beyond impressed and excited that a collaboration of Rokslide owners/members and companies with insight focused on functional use above market perception and precedent to create this replacement stock, and allowed future customer input.

My first is going on a tikka superlite converted to 6 creed, and definitely glad there is a bright color in orange so I can find it after a nap…

They started at 250 for Tikka alone. Down to 105 now, so at least 145 just for Tikka. I don’t know what they started with the others.

The original tikka number I didnt have.
so 145 plus 62 ish. 207 ish total. And not been formally released yet. I'd say thats pretty good stab at it.

Sounds like its successful and that makes me happier then a pig in slop.

Rokslide and UM Newsletters rolling out next week. Once we get a real stock in hand @Formidilosus will start a video series locked thread called "Why Rokstok" to go over all the features and of course debunk all the myths that have come up on this thread and others about stocks.

If these end up being made to fit a Browning I'm in. I already decided on a Browning X-Bolt as the next rifle purchase and I think this would be a perfect stock to throw on it. Just started listening to the Rokstock podcast, y'all keep up the great work. Super exciting stuff.

Or waiting for funds! ;) I've been holding off on doing any kind of stock upgrade for a while. Suppressor was the priority, but that checkbox is checked. Stock upgrade is now on the radar for 2024, and based on how the rokstock is shaping up, the decision looks pretty easy to make.

I guess we will find out
Looking forward to the challenge
Like I said if I get proven wrong I've got no problem admitting it.
