Rokstok Pics

Did it take long to get it?

It’s a bit confusing that no matter the configuration UM website says 4 in stock…but description says handmade 12 weeks.

What was your acquisition process?
It’s a bit confusing because “4 in stock” means that there are 4 available to order in this “batch”.

Once those 4 are sold and sent to the builder they won’t open orders again until the others are completed.

I’ll bite. Wood Rokstok with the new Trinity rail.

Couldn’t wait for my next 22CM to arrive so I threw one of my .260 barreled actions/Mavens in and added spacers. Will shoot it tomorrow. Needs the scope to be moved back and sighted in.

Yes the wood is cracked 👎🏻 I got too frisky adding in the spacers and a redundancy screw. Function won’t be hindered. I’ll sand it and fill it sometime soon.

No spacers plus trinity rail, no bottom metal weight…

Yeah, that’s misleading. Probably better appropriated to the general RokStock thread though, I suppose.

These wood sticks are quite expensive, is there a performance benefit? Hard to differentiate by pics alone. Between them, what do you think?

UM mentioned how it all works in a post in the Rokstok thread. I know it’s hard to sift through that massive thread, but they were quite clear on how the “in stock” thing all worked.

I’ll shoot it tomorrow and let you know.

I’m a fan of wood over carbon in general but getting a well designed wood stock has been impossible until this stock was announced.

Sniper green Cerekoted by UM
I added the Rustoleum Camo Khaki and Flat Black.
What hight scope rings on the top rifle?

Both Medium UM tikka rings. I couldn’t even see out the scope with Lows and honestly probably would be more happy with Highs.
Thanks.. i drank the coolaid and am building a Form rifle lol maven and all

Tikka w/18” Preferred Barrels prefit in 6 CM, 0.750 Taperless contour. Cerakote is Magpul OD Green. UM High Tikka rings w/Maven RS1.2. UM bolt handle and knob.
Edit to add: weight as pictured is 9.0 lbs

Had to do slight sanding of the barrel channel at the shank to free-float, and stripped one of the nuts on the buttstock spacer system when I removed a spacer. Felt like the bolt was bottoming in the fill material, which increased resistance on the nut, which broke the nut loose. I will confirm LOP works then epoxy the spacers in place. Also had to sand down several sharp edges from molding seams. Overall finish level on mine was mediocre for my expectations. But after waiting a week less than one year, and not wanting to mess with shipping back to UM, I am telling myself I’m over it. Pretty good chance mine was in the batch that went out under a former QC employee.
