Please dear God don't make it super short "for the kids" they are a tiny part of the market and one that will outgrow the product eventually.

Making the product worse for 90% of the users to help a few is a hassle. I don't want spacers or atleast not excessive amounts of them (You have already found most like more than 13.5" LOP in the regular rokstok). Every single kid will outgrow a small stock but adults won't. If the youth are a big enough market make a youth specific stock (doesnt seem ultralight is a benefit to youth and the reduced height above bore also doesn't help so a dedicated youth mold to suit the largest range of actions in a single mould makes more sense to me).

Too much versatility often comes at the cost of being good at the main task.

That's why the Rokstok Lite exists isnt it? It's more heavily focusing on weight where that focus would take away from function on the regular rokstok?

Edit: I'm hoping I misread above and that you meant a second 12" LOP for kids only

Don’t forget all the disclaimers. You do not need more whiners crying over features that only fulfill their wants. The MRC thread is full of them.

The stock is a rifle stock and not an investment tool
This stock is not part of any crypto currency
This stock will not make you a better shot unless you practice over 1000 rounds per year.
This stock will not do your taxes for you
This stock will not make you more manly
If you have a man bun this stock will cause it to fall off immediately upon handling
This stock will not make your gray market Mauser from 1940’s Europe shoot better groups
This stock will not increase your draw odds for any animal in any state
This stock is not funded by the Biden administration and only fits two genders
If you whine on-line about this stock it will automatically dissolve into carbon dust with your third post of complaining the LOP doesn’t account for your deformed at birth middle finger
This stock does not cure male pattern baldness.
This stock does not cure ED.
By owning this stock you will not be able to beat up Chuck Norris.

Yeah it’s Friday. I’m in a mood and need a Woodford Reserve.

Happy to see this is happening and will order one when available. My only positive contribution. Make sure I can order it painted in a minimum of 3 color combinations and orange is one of the colors.

What?

There will be two different stocks a standard and youth.

Cool, I’d be in for one on my new left tikka 223. I don’t need some sort of hand snaging device to attach a bipod to, bags work just fine up front. I’m over the attachment thingamajigs. Plain old sling stud up front that easily screws out is perfect.

I'll just take in stock standard rokstoks for now! I'd say 12.5" minimim LOP, 12in will fit more lil kids tho. The Pic rail isn't a deal breaker, scalloped is nice, but not essential.

I'll honestly prob just stick to standard weight, although cutting 10oz in the stock will allow a guy to step up from the 750 taperless to 810 taperless and keep same weight. Idk but I like thick barrels, and forward weight just aids in the recoil pulse especially when suppressed.

Not sure on this yet, what would you like to see?
Pretty sure any decent setup is going to take a lot of work, but the Kimber hunter 3rd magazines aren’t great, and Kimber floorplate bottom metal is pretty much impossible to find.
Ideally make it work with the MDT 3rd polymer magazines, but that’s probably a big ask. They’re light and available, but then there would need to be some kind of aics bottom metal.

Thinking about minimum LOP, you probably need to think if the target market of this stock is going to shoot from traditional "bladed" or more modern PRS stock placement where you want a shorter LOP.

I have started setting up my rifle LOP in the middle of these two recently so I can do either, because I have found in the field hunting, you don't always have the option of the most conformable "squared up" shooting position.

Wow, this announcement made my day!

I want some detachable mag. You’ve all forgotten more about them than I know so I’ll trust whatever you come up with. My guess is there isn’t a way to get around the 2.82” limit, but if you can that would be great.
I have a 84M 338 Federal that could really use this stock design to minimize barrel rise at the shot.

while we are on LOP, I think you should go with whatever fits the most people. Seems like most found the rokstock too short. If we have to put 2-3oz of spacers on a 16oz stock it will be kind of a bummer.
