Rokslide hiking trip

Is "this area" enumclaw type zone?
I am at about 80% sure I can make it and will probably drag a buddy along. I am in bothell.

It looks like I have those days off also. I think I would rather go scouting since it will be the only week I have to scout Washington. Be fun to meet all you guys though.

Good thing about a get together with guys on this thread is the amount of cool gear we get to bring!!! I'm getting stoked!

And you are more n welcome to pack my spotter! ;)

Mike

I'll pack in your spotter Mikey. You might have a hard time getting it back before we get back to the cars. I'm game for hiking into Schaefer if you guy's don't mind a newbie coming along. Could be interesting. As far as a comparison between Chain lakes and Schaefer. The fish are about the same size so if you want to pack a fly rod, pack the lightest # rod you have. At least brookies are a pretty looking fish even when small. I'd like to climb Bandit as well.

It's interesting how many screen names I recognize in this thread.

A lot of interesting threads and articles on this forum to help me get started hunting the backcountry.

Actually, I'm a newbie at fly fishing myself. I've done a lot of high-lakes fishing but until this year it has always been spin casting.

I talked to Trevor today and the two of us are going to try and make it. I will have room for two or three more guys in my truck. I may not be able to leave until early Saturday morning though. Not sure about my work schedule yet.

I can go Friday or Saturday. I would be happy to pitch in for fuel, if I can hook up with one of you guys that is already driving.

I've been up to Schaefer before and if we Bushwack up the ridge towards D lake there's a canyon we can shoot rocks out to about 700-800 I think... for those of you planning on packing a rifle ;)
