That was a wild race. Bit rank and file in the middle but fun start and crazy finish.

Hoping for similar excitement with MotoGP but I have a feeling it's going to be a snoozer.

Wow, I stayed up and watched the race, we had some tough weather coming through, so I stayed up and watched it. Tough on the rookies to start, then two veterans leading spin out, loose position …. Not going to say, but Hamilton got to the lead.

You just knew when they all pitted for slicks, and incoming rain reports were being reported that a high probability for chaos was coming.
Not surprisingly, chaos ensued and the remainder of the race was a barn burner!!

That was a really fun race to watch.

F1 is far from perfect, but can be spectacular. It does fit my main requirement for races and racing cars: they must turn in a minimum of TWO directions.

So many 'what' ifs' in that scenario. The all wet races are not much to look at but the back and forth wet/slick tires amke for some fantastic racing.

And that pass by Pisatri on Hamilton on the outside of 6 (I think) at the end of the race was phenomenal. That was Verstappen-like in the wet and I very seriously doubt Norris could/would have pulled that off. He was an angry australian

Hopefully they let Oscar race this year!!
McLaren still making some dubious strategy decisions.
Agree that pass of Hamilton on the last lap was epic!

Great CHAOS was had!
Feel for the rookies that crashed out, except Alonso. . .

For all the variables and factors the teams can and do control, the rain and track evolution provides a fantastic new variable to the teams and delivers great entertainment.

The more I think about it I'm really starting to dislike Helmet Marko. He publicly said Isack Hadjar having a melt down and crying was embarrassing was terribly distasteful.

On the other hand Anthony Hamilton (Lewis's father) showed the most amount of class and compassion I have seen in a good while.

The more and more comes out I hope Christian blows Helmet out of the water with this dumb lawsuit and ousts him from the team.

I do, but much prefer MotoGP these days. Both are better than Nascar lol.

Well, I haven't been on here long enough to see a F1 thread. Glad some of you boys enjoy it too. Well, I've been a Ferrari fan a long time, Lauda, Scheckter, Schumacher, Kimi (that last names spelling), young and loved a Ferrari car, I never was a Testerosa fan, but that car was super in the day.

Ferrari had a tough go of it yesterday, 7th and 8th to start the year, hmm.
I've been to Indy when F1 raced up there in the early 200s, before they neutered the engines. Those V8s and V10s were so amazing in person. The older MotoGP bikes had that same ear appeal. Saw them in 2003 in Laguna Seca. That was a great experience.
