Pops is 75 this year and likley needs a headlamp upgrade. For anyone who really nerds out over this stuff is the high-cri option much beneficial? I am mostly concerned for off trail technical usage.

No so much for easy walking, red light and other features.

Pops is 75?. He'll be in bed promptly at oh-dark thirty, so there's no need to geek out over high tech headlamp performance for technical off trail stuff for him..... And I doubt he'll ever even get off a 'trail' anyway.

High CRI makes blood pop at night- it has been a big advantage to me. The last 15 min of legal shooting time has probably been the best time for success for me.

Interesting, I never would have thought of the blood factor.

Either way, I am guessing it's worth it. Its a small cost and since he needs to upgrade anyways it would be "stupid" not to. yeah?
