"Rokslide Classifieds" clogged and cluttered - consider separating?

I'm curious....am I in the minority of folks that use the "search" to look for something? I use it when I'm looking for a particular subject in the forum, AND it works in the classifieds too. Found a tripod that I wanted last week after doing a search. Saw only tripods, plus one pack that wanted to be traded for a tripod.

There is a firearms forum for those of us in the Northwest that has every classified section listed separately, and it seems to work that way also.

No question search function works. I suppose most posters that have been around four or five years or more and have made posts with the bulk of them in the for sale sections are interested in conversation.

I agree, the classifieds ARE a freaking joke for guys to do a minimum number of posts and throw up their goods for sale. First six pages the majority are bumps from weeks or months ago. Anyone posting something new today is reverted to the second page within a half day.

Rokslide has got a moderator workload problem, if they can't fix it, it will become a joke more than it already is. Moderators are fine, but they obviously can't do what they're asked to because every one of them says they can't watch enough stuff to catch everything and it's up to participants to point it out to them. Make it a free-for-all, it's kind of what it is already, as I personally have not seen a post called out or otherwise moderated for other reasons either.
A forum I use to frequent had the different areas broke up and mods had areas of responsibility. Not sure if they do that here but it was pretty nice because a mod would only have one or two sections they monitored and you could get a feel for each mod and know where the boundaries were.

Might be something worth considering.
