In a serious episode of Karma...... Lions 3....poachers 0

At least three suspected rhino poachers have been killed by a pride of lions after they broke into a game reserve in South Africa.

Rangers discovered human remains around 4:30 p.m. local time on July 3 in the immediate vicinity of the lions’ territory at the Sibuya Game Reserve in Kenton-on-Sea in the Eastern Cape, more than 24 hours after an anti-poaching dog alerted her handler that something was amiss.

When members of the anti-poaching unit investigated, they recovered human remains, a high-powered rifle with a silencer, wire cutters, an axe and three pairs of shoes.

Any chance anti-poaching decided they'd had enough of these poachers and dispatched them and fed them too the lions? You'd think there would be enough food around on a game preserve that lions wouldn't need to go after three humans with a rifle.

This. I figured somebody (govt) just assassinated them and fed them to the lions.
You would think there would have been a wounded lion or two due to them having
rifles.

I wish it had gotten the buyers who think rhino horn cures hangovers and makes their dingdongs hard instead...

In a world where Viagara is plentiful (and cheap compared to powdered Rhino horn), these Chinese buyers are throwbacks living in a time almost 4,000 years ago. Let the lions and hyenas have them....every last one of them.

I was once riding in a truck in South Africa when we passed some sketchy dudes on the side of the road. Dude locks up the brakes takes out his rifle, loads up, and walks toward the group with it shouldered. After 2 or 3 minutes he put it down and started walking back. Gets in, stowes rifle and drives of without a word. What was all that I asked? Very matter of fact, without taking eyes off the road, he says oh I thought they were poachers at first but then I recognized one of them.
