Had one on my F250 since I bought it in '21. Love it...I have the pro with the rails. Everything said above is true...I keep a butane lighter for winter when the latch freezes...open the tailgate and little heat works fine. I can stand on in a pinch no problem.
I have a cargo basket that goes on the rails, put my kayack on the rails, put my bike 9m the rails too.
If you want rails get the square heavy duty rails..so you can load the basket up.
I will stack firewood, cases of beer, ect under the can when loading up for trip.
