**Results are in** REAPER vs AIRLOCK vs PTR VENT 1 vs NOMAD TI-XC vs DD ENTICER LTI TITANIUM SHOOTOUT

I thought this was a hunting based forum? Hunting with ear pro is impractical. The Ultra 5 is way better than bare muzzle, anybody who says otherwise doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

The UL5 is the only major non suppressor, suppressor that exists. It produces 138-139 dB at ear often enough that it is noticeable. It is the only major suppressor that has been at classes that the shooters to the left and right of them consistently put on double ear pro. Not only is the dB barely “hearing safe”, but it has a very snappy report.

10 years ago it was something. Buying one today- no.

You keep your ultra 5 and justify it because you bought it for $1000 and spent $200 on a tax stamp and can’t sell it even if you wanted to.

I was accused of a personnel attack earlier when I suggested that anything that isn’t the absolute latest and greatest is considered by some to be nothing but garbage. But that’s exactly how several of you act. The snobbery and BS is thick for sure. I regret joining.

I’m sure if you stick around you’ll enjoy the content here.

I think a big chunk of the issue is you have contributed to several posts of clutter about the U5 in a thread that isn’t about the U5.

This thread is a comparison of very specific suppressors (not the U5). I could go on, but I won’t.

I’m happy that you enjoy your U5. We should all want to be happy with our purchases, especially when they are expensive and a lifetime purchase.

Good point, although I’m not the one who brought it up, I was just responding to a few others that mentioned it first.

I actually came here because I also own a Dead Air Nomad Ti XC…I wonder how long before that will be worthless junk?

Is it loud ?
The Dead Air? Quieter than the Ultra 5 for sure. But also heavier and longer…you know, that compromise thing I mentioned earlier?

I’m actually sitting in my tree stand as I type this with my worthless Ultra 5, while my Nomad Ti XC sits inside. I must be nucking futs!

I think we should celebrate 10+ year old cans becoming worthless junk and I own a few that I’ll happily admit are fairly worthless. I’ll be thrilled when the day comes that a Nomad TI XC is worthless junk because it means some big leaps have been made in suppressor tech.

People still like it. People still like their scythe to even though they're blowing up at like a 20% rate on this forum and their reliability sucks.

I don't think people act like dicks on this forum any more than people do on other forums. It's worthwhile. Stick around

Biggest takeaway from this thread...dont buy an Ultra 5
Unless you nucking futs sitting in a deer stand with a bolt 300blk shooting subs with an ultra5. Then it’s quiet!
;)

My 7 year old smoked his first deer this morning with a similar setup (except a nomad TiXC). Sorry for the face paint. He’s off to selection next month.

My silencer co harvester is still one of the quietest cans I have. Every time I shoot it everyone around me says “wonder why they quit making it”

I don’t deer hunt with subs or 300 BLK, only yotes. Congrats to your son on his first deer.
