The walleye guys made their own bed its all on video. No he said she said just lead in the belly
that's why we're struggling what to do with it....The walleye guys made their own bed its all on video. No he said she said just lead in the belly
Plus , it's everywhere , national news carried the story .The walleye guys made their own bed its all on video. No he said she said just lead in the belly
Love the site. Thanks to all the mods and admins for what y'all do.Remember that Rokslide wasn't built so you would have a platform to get the word out about things you don't like. It was built to help people in regard to hunting and gear.
Also, remember that we have a staff of about 25 volunteer moderators trying to keep things positive on the site. Threads like that are extremely hard to moderate because we then have to pick through the acceptable comments and the nonsense. It's impossible to get it right all the time so we end up with five more threads complaining about how we handled something.
that one keeps us up at night, but this is the direction we want to go....where does your responsibility lie? I don't know, but y'all met about it and made a decision...
exactly...Plus , it's everywhere , national news carried the story .
The accused admitted in the podcast that they were wrong. Wait, my bad, that "HIS FRIEND" was in the wrong. And that HIS FRIEND should have known the Regs. Typical blame someone else. His friend did get a warning. So OP was correct. But we remove the thread. All would have been buried under the bush had OP not brought it to light. All the "kill and do anything for content" influencers can sleep a bit easier at night now knowing there's less of a chance they will be called out on their BS.I am sure that those threads went off the rails, but how about a follow up from the powers that be regarding what they found out about the situation, I saw the video of the accused riding up and claiming he was legal.
We would like to know what went down!
The Walleye cheaters thread is still going.
fair enough, but we didn't build this place for that purpose. The accused admitted in the podcast that they were wrong. Wait, my bad, that "HIS FRIEND" was in the wrong. and the OP does have a voice. He called LEO, they responded and took appropriate action.
And OP released his own video, which only added credibility (even though I've heard from some who don't agree that it did)
This is tough!
thanks for your thoughts.
Times have changed since Rokslide was built. And the Hunting world hasn't been able to dodge it. I'd argue it's more important than ever to call out/spotlight some of the celebs/influencers when they are in the wrong. They have such a broad reach now, it can really be a blackeye for hunting. A lot of the new R3 recruits basically worship some of these folks who will do anything for the gram. Folks need to know things always aren't as they seem in the Hunting industry. Do we really want some of these fools to be our representation to non/anti-hunters?Remember that Rokslide wasn't built so you would have a platform to get the word out about things you don't like. I'm not gonna leave the forum or anything over this. Just stating my opinion as a wildlife professional.
I was just about to say the same thing!Sounds like there's an opportunity there to start another forum specializing in this stuff. And I'm serious.
Would someone with experience like to help?Sounds like there's an opportunity there to start another forum specializing in this stuff. And I'm serious.

yip, just talked to a member today who had to hire a lawyer over what was proved to be lies posted on FB, but the damage was already done. We don't want to play anymore! It's called facebook; no moderation so you can discredit anybody and talk out your ass all day long with no repercussions.
Not sure, but if it impacts our ability to maintain an "upbeat positive atmosphere" probably not staying....Out of curiosity, where will the line be drawn. If someone is formally charged can you start a thread on it?
Facebook groups = The BIGGEST cesspool ! The average forum user's intellect seems to be substantially higher. Ha. I've been using hunting forums for close to 20 years and it's always been that way. It's called facebook; no moderation so you can discredit anybody and talk out your ass all day long with no repercussions.
