Regrets on Fluting a Barrel

I don’t know how much was saved. But I would not flute a factory barrel.

As noted above I’d only flute a high quality properly stress relieved barrel. Not to say a factory barrel can’t be, but there’s a reason a factory rifle dosnt cost what a custom does.

Burn it up and flute the next one

This is exactly the type of info I need to hear, but didn’t think to ask. While I know not all barrels are equal, I did assume they were all stress relieved.
