1 Action - 2 Bolts - 2 Barrels - what would you build?

I started off this way too. Figured I would get a short and a long action zermatt then I'd be covered and could switch bolt faces and barrels and just be set. Well once you get one setup and dialed in, it becomes a pain in the dick to swap them and then go get them zeroed again.

Just go with two rifles. If I had to do over, I'd go with a medium and a short action to start. Build a short action mag with the medium action and a 6cm with the short. That's just my opinion.

I’d personally build a 22 Creed set up exactly how I wanted it, & sell the other stuff to fund the 22 CM.

If I needed to do a second rifle I’d consider maybe
a 6UM. Set them both up as twins.

Have Fun !!

Yep. Or $19,000 for two. We pay $1.40 for 1.00 USD. Not good up here. Thats the price.

I am looking at a switch barrel set up as 2 rifles for $11K. It get cheaper as you buy more barrels.
Guns are tools. I’d rather have something cheaper and more dependable and spend my money on traveling, hunting, and ammo. But that’s me.

I've been buying components for about 6 months now, Have everything listed, just waiting on action to arrive (custom order)

Manners Pro Hunter Adjustable
Hawkins Hunter DBM and Mags 2.98 ( standard ext and Mag)
Trigger Tech Special
6.5mm 8 twist and 7mm 8 twist both are Benchmark # 5 contour, fluted, finished @ 24"
Defiance Anti X, Short Action, nitrated, with 2 bolts, .308 BF and Mag BF.

Original plan was to build 1 rifle with multi barrels...but since I buying components I have sold some other rifles which freed up some "FUN MONEY"!

Option 1 - Stay with the orginal plan, 1 rifle with 2(+) barrels. Thinking 6.5 creedmoor and 7 saum originally
Option 2 - Build 2 rifles, SA & LA. Thinking could move the 7mm into the long action build.

I hunt big game in Alberta, max range would be under 700 yards, most would be under 500 yards.

Suggestions on builds or what would you build?

I’d go with two rifles. 6.5 PRC and a 7 PRC.

I think it really depends how you want to use it. If you want to leave it in the 6.5 creed 90% of the time for most of your shooting and just chuck the 7 saum on before a big hunt for extended terminal range thats fair. Save the money from the second scope and rings and buy more ammo. But if you want to swap week in week out get a second rifle.
