following purely bc this has been an awesome thread to watch. Thank you for the progress updates. A video and timeline would be cool to watch next time you build another

I follow a builder on the ol FB that makes a bunch of them like this. ILF limbs have a bushing that's just press fitted and you can pop it out pretty easily after unscrewing the cap. Believe his business is Rossing archery or something like that.Absolutely amazing, nice work.
I am dying to know if that will work for you with the ILF limbs mounted on the back side of the riser- I have never seen that done.
IME, the bows that do that- like the Widows- seem to point better though you lose a little bit of performance.
I have no clue how to get a video on here, but I appreciate the vote of confidence!following purely bc this has been an awesome thread to watch. Thank you for the progress updates. A video and timeline would be cool to watch next time you build another![]()
I actually just put a couple stainless hex nuts in there. I didn't go into details, but there's almost 1/8" of solid glass between the inserts and the face of the limb pads. By virtue of glueing up the riser in parts I was able to align my limb bolts perfectly via glueing up from the back side with a rubber gasket to keep epoxy from running out the bolt holes. What are you using for your limb bolt inserts and where? The ones I’ve gotten in the past were from Binghams but he closed shop a while ago. I looked on 3rivers and they are a bit proud of those. Cool build! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Oh yeah, I like your logic.I follow a builder on the ol FB that makes a bunch of them like this. ILF limbs have a bushing that's just press fitted and you can pop it out pretty easily after unscrewing the cap. Believe his business is Rossing archery or something like that.
As for performance, I draw 32-32.5" and used to shoot a BW PMA. Loved the bow, but sometimes you horse trade for reasons you later regret. I figure with the higher performance of some ILF limbs I should be able to easily get into the 175-185fps range with a 9.5-10gpp arrow (more like what guys with a 30" draw can see.
