This thread is entertaining lol. I get my 2nd dose of moderna on the 31st, just had a sore arm for a day from the 1st shot. My wife and parents already got both shots of pfizer in the past month, they're all fine. Not sure i needed it cause im young and healthy but i got the opportunity so i took it in case not having it could prevent me from traveling this year.

My wife's former coworker is a young healthy woman and she had to be taken to the hospital for a very severe reaction to the Pfizer but is ok. Thats the only person i personally know that had a severe reaction

This thread being entertaining is quite the understatement. My wife gets hers today and I get mine Wednesday (both moderna or Pfizer). Everyone I work with has gotten either of those two vaccines so I can’t speak to the Johnson and Johnson. The worst reaction of the ten to fifteen people has been feeling tired for a day.

Couple months in for me. No issues.

Our floor has almost no Covid cases. Think it's a combination of things, but mostly, in my opinion, it has just run its course. I think a whole lot more people have had it than we will ever know, and herd immunity is probably a lot closer in some places than the experts believe. Especially in places like South Dakota that never really shut down and had people going about their business.

I got my 2nd shot a week ago,

I too was skeptical and suspicious with all of the political wrangling that has been a part of this shit show.
I am deeply conservative and have noticed some changes in my thoughts since being vaccinated.

No longer do I find the Democratic platform to be quite so bad. More and more, I'm starting to see things more clearly, embracing the left wing agenda more each day. I'm now fond of AOC, and Elizabeth Warren and their proposals for our society. Maybe they really do know what is best for the rest of us Deplorable "Boomer Rubes". I'm not dragging my knuckles nearly as much, find I'm enjoying episodes of SNL, Ellen, and late night TV for the 1st time in years. I'm starting to realize my white ancestors have left me an unfair edge, leaving me with more white guilt. My ancestors came here from Ireland in the late 1890's, but realize my whiteness makes me just as guilty as the descendants of slave owners. I now realize, If we would only turn 100% socialist the underclasses will be So Much better off. Liberty is after all mostly over rated and could not be appreciated by the un-washed masses. No.....the ruling class has it correct. I'm just going to hate the rich people that I have never met, and feel assured that taxing them into oblivion will solve or nations problems. I won't loose a job or a livelihood as Joe Biden would never let that happen to me. After all I'm not a pipeline worker.

No other side effects from the vaccine other than a sore arm. LOL!

If they are worried about Vaccine hesitancy they should market dick growth as a side affect. Every man in the us would be in line for the vaccine.... haha
I have 2 patients who note baldness after Covid. One lady looks like she's going through chemo, the other is a guy with bald spots all over his head.

Pretty funny - a handful of people get vaccinated and the libs think we are ok to go back to normal. People who have received the vaccine are still getting positive covid tests. Some people are getting sicker from the Vaccine than they did with COVID, and some people are dying from the vaccine. I refuse to be a sheep and still won’t be getting a vaccine. Party on guys!
What funny is the guy who thinks he isn't a sheep also thinks 107 million Americans is a handful.

I get some people don't want to and won't take the vaccine, but the degree to which some have felt the need to publicly demonstrate their ignorance as a justification for why not - some going on a year of it - is unfortunate.

Edit: corrected my post after re-reading the article cited for the vaccination stats.

A friend of mine's colleage aged daughter started losing her hair after a nothing case of COVID (only knew she had it based on a test following exposure), although not to that degree.

Got my Pfizer shot last week. Little sore arm otherwise all set! ND has lifted our mask mandate now due to the combination of people getting vaccinated and low case counts.

Almost back to normal for us!

Yes, and the Dakotas had among the highest tested cases per 1,000 of any states. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, but I do believe that between the number of people who have had it plus the vaccine, the US should be in a good spot come summer.

Got my second dose of the Moderna stuff a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t have any side effects from the first shot. The day after the second shot, I had some mild fatigue. Similar to the years here and there when I would get a flu shot.

Was going to question your numbers until I realized how they were counting it. 124 million doses given, 44 ish million vaccinated. Should be getting my first shot soon.

I have no disdain for anyone who wants to get the Rona vaccine, if it makes you feel better then great. But reality has to play a role in decision making, under the age of 65 and you have a less than 1% chance of ending up seriously ill. At the same time that less than 1% percentage will scare people into getting something put in their body that the “experts” don’t even have all the answers for. I’m in no hurry to get it and I was one of the first ones in the state of Colorado offered it back in Dec. For now I’ll pass!

Ya, I've been puzzled by that statistic. For much of the last year the only people tested here for Covid were Dr. ordered symptomatic tests. It seems like other places they were testing anyone who walked through the door. Obviously, that would slant our numbers but even when I know for sure only symptomatic patients were being tested the big news was how high our numbers were. Now we test every admit to the hospital.

I re-read the article I quote and they listed 37 million fully vaccinated and 107 million have gotten one dose, but it think the 107 includes the 37. My bad. Either way, I think we can agree ~1/3 of the U.S. population is more than a handful.
