Rebarrel 6.5cm to 7-08rem on Weatherby Vanguard

I was wanting to Rebarrel 6.5cm to 7-08rem on Weatherby Vanguard Rifle.
How can a someone do this for a cheapest way possible?
Take it to a gunsmith a ream the barrel or get a new barrel and install it without doing any work to the action.

Unless you're looking for a custom twist barrel, or planning to Ackley Improve the 7-08, you'd probably be money ahead to sell the 6.5 and buy a 7-08.

X2 on swapping rifles instead of barrels if you aren’t looking for something unique.

If that’s not an option, I would find a good/reputable smith first, then let them give some input. We have been using the same smith for a long time because of that (and he does great work).

Out of curiosity, what are you hoping to gain? Both cartridges are darn near interchangeable in terms of performance.

What are you planning to do with it?

The two cartridges are very close together in performance.
A few years ago, I went with a 6.5CM over the 7-08 solely because of ammo availability. I saw them as interchangeable.

Unless my barrel was shot out, I don't think I would make the swap from one to the other.
