Yes, it’s true, I didn’t go to the range for 7 months…. lol
Finally got out to the range to test Weatherby’s test ammo (2 of 3, couldn’t find the ballistic silvertip option).
Results were weird, and still not acceptable.
Shot (2) 3-shot groups with each (55gr NBT, 55gr TSX), fired back to back with each type (6 shots total before cooling).
BT provided 3.097” with the first group, and 1.788” with the second
TSX provided 3.968” with the first, and 1.416” with the second.
I thought it was weird that shots 4-6 were consistently far better. On top of that, with both groups shots 4 and 5 were within 0.5”, and the third (shot 6) would fly.
Will swap a trusty, known scope next and retry both types of ammo
