Hey guys. I'm eyeing the Leica Rangefinding Binos without ballistics display. It seems my process would benefit from them integrated but not sure I want to drop an extra grand on the fancier ones

Any of you guys using rangefinding binos without ballistics wish you'd chosen with ballistics?

How far do you shoot?
How fast do you need to shoot after ranging?

Those are the two questions I run through. Most choose ballistics in the binos or a Bluetooth to another device.

In the moments before pressing the trigger, IMO, there is a tremendous mental load that should be reduced with efficient technology and practice to make parts of the shooting process automatic.

If you have all the time, then automatic doesn’t matter as much.

Or, if you are only shooting to 450, you can memorize that easy enough.

I’ve had several generations of both swaro and Leica with onboard ballistics but not being a long range hunter (500 yards and in) I settled for the the simpler tool and have been very satisfied with my Geovids.
My sons both have the newest Geovid R’a and have been very pleased with them.
With Doug at Cameraland having the 10x42’s for $1200 it’s a heck of a deal.
