Ram rebel diesal blewup

My 17 month old ram rebel diesal fuel pump imploded. 17k damage, under warranty. Got a recall letter 4 months ago, no parts. Mgr. Said 3 months and they will put in the same junk pump. So in 31 days, lemon law. And I leave in 13 days for a 3 week sheep/ mulie hunt. Buyer beware.

A friend of mine had his Chevy 6.2 gas engine go out at 20k miles. Sat at dealer for 6 months before he got it back!

I think it's the "eco-diesel" engine they put in the half tons.

Eco diesal. Tundras like gas too much. I will dump it for a hemi Laramie. In ca. 31 days, no fix, start paperwork, can't file lemon suit till its fixed. 90 days.

I really liked the dodge I test drove, but ended up in a 21 tundra. I’ll deal with the fuel suck, not the reliability suck.

The ram half tons are probably the nicest driving option out there i just cant get past perception of poor reliability and resale.

Yep. Nothing tops reliability. One blown engine or transmission will make those gas bills look real small.

I am a dodge tech of 30+ years.i know all about the recall and no parts availability. A gas hemi engine is very reliable with not real good economy but it will get you their.if dodge offered me a 2023 eco diesel for free and I had to drive it for 5 years I would turn down the offer. They are not reliable. Def makes them less reliable even hd with Cummins. I switched to gas. They say they are stopping production of eco diesel and last year of Cummins is like 2025??

I can vouch for the horrible mileage of my tundra, but I also never had a problem with 6.7 Cummins in 120k, the transmission is a different story….

Neighbor bought one of these used and he drove it for 5k miles before the engine blew up on him. It took a year for the new engine to get delivered.
