Looking at these two heads, primarily after elk, but also pronghorn and mule deer.

Haven't had a chance to see the NC in person, but it looks like a very short ferrule, and the same blade angle as the Trypan. Slight difference in blade thickness .04, and titanium ferrule vs stainless. Is the biggest difference the lack of the plastic collars?

The swept blade angle is my #1 reason for picking these 2 heads, and very positive (almost surprised) reviews from veteran bowhunters.

Collars and thinner blades. Trypans have been getting a lot of great feedback for there use on elk, I really wish that the NC would have stayed with the thicker blades. The orignal Hypo also had a shorter ferrule than the trypan but used the same thickness of blades as the NC.

I went with the Trypans based off of several threads of great results on elk. I know there have been people killing elk with the NC but IMO the trypan is better suited for elk.

Trypan here as well but think I am going to go 3 trypan and two extreme in the quiver.
