Just finished up a second longbow. This one is for my brother, Rock 2.0, who will hopefully bag a big Nevada Bull with it this coming fall. It's 59# @28". I was shooting for 60#, but according to most sites, you pay extra for +/- 2 pounds on the draw weight. So, Happy birthday, Mac, and you best start practicing with it! It ended up with some nice grain in both the walnut and bubinga.

Mac, It's on you to post a fully drawn photo!

I am stoked to get this thing, Cameron did a great job and fitted the riser to my hand perfectly. Arrows are in the process of being built and with a few days off this weekend I should get to shooting! I will pot some pictures of the results

Well, as promised here is the finished product. I added a Kanati Quiver. For arrows I consulted Gposik on here extensively and he was a great help! I ended up making up some GT Traditional 75/95 at 31.5 inches with a 200 grain point, and a bohning wrap under 3, 5 inch feathers. So far I can hit decently up to 10 yards. Traditional is definitely a great challenge and learning curve. This bow shoots wonderfully! For broadheads I went with some Eclipse Broadheads, single bevel, 200 grains.

Very cool! Nice wood selection. I'm looking to build a take down recurve next year. Thinking I might go with cocobolo, purpleheart, wenge and curly maple but we'll see.
I hope you stick a nice bull this year with it.

Thanks guys, my brother does a great job! Slim, I only have an archery deer tag this year, I am debating which bow to take, I need to get ALOT more consistent with the longbow before I am ready to take it out for an animal. I have only shot it a handful of times so I know I do not have nearly enough experience....YET!
