I posted detailed mark-ups of the subtensions in the ZP 5 Q&A thread ...I don't have a dimensioned drawing of the THLR Minox design, but it looks like the point of the bottom stadium is at 1.5 mils and the base of the arrow might be 2.0 mils. If so, it should allow holds to 350-400 yards depending on elevation. I'm in.
You are looking at it all wrong, you should look at the image and just use the bits of the reticle that you need for that particular shotI actually don’t like it. I’m sure I’m wrong and an ignorant fool or whatever but there’s too much going on. I don’t want all the tricks and secret shortcuts and gizmos. It’s busy and occluded.
I am betting the people at NF responsible for making major decisions don’t really hunt. That does it, a group of us are going to Idaho and we are going to all the NF employee's homes and gluing their power rings at 4X and making them hunt for at least a full season on low power.
I suspect they just don't think the market for a scope/reticle we're asking for is big enough.I am betting the people at NF responsible for making major decisions don’t really hunt.
Yup, if the S2H scope is a success, look for Nightforce to come out with a reticle similar. Or they decide the market isn't big enough and continue in their LE/ competition space with scopes that work for hunting, but aren't optimal. Large companies love to let little guys prove the markets before they enter.I suspect they just don't think the market for a scope/reticle we're asking for is big enough.
Looking at this reticle on the 2-12 it seems to be geared toward game gun/NRL/PRS. But It's too low power for PRS shooters today. Maybe they think NRL/guys shootings steel at long range. But no, it's not a hunting reticle and maybe they know that and just don't care.

Christmas trees are for game guns where you can get a second shot on a steel plate that sits still if you miss. They are not useful for hunters and just mess up the view. I want to see the grass and other wind indicators around the animal without any clutter.
As for illumination, I never use it. No time to turn it on when walking around if you need a quick shot and one more thing to go wrong.
