Q&A for Minox ZP5 5-25x56mm THLR scope

Anyone hear anything about the duds?

I wonder if they sent them off yet.

My cynical side expects we are going to get an email after a while that says "upper management had a huddle and now we want to offer you all (2) Minox LRs...and a Blaser T-shirt"

I haven’t heard anything after I responded saying I’d like the one I purchased to be fixed.

I haven't had a chance to get mine out much besides a few trips to a short 100/200 yd range. The image quality is a noticeable step up over my 10 year old kahles 624 but I am a little concerned about the parallax. No concerns with depth of focus but rather it seems to have parallax induced error much easier than i'm used to. I need to get it out to further distances more to mess with it but I wont settle for needing to dick around with tuning out parallax error for every slightly different target range.

Seems to track acceptably but I haven't done extensive testing on that yet either.

I emailed earlier today to check and they said there’s a shipment of repaired scopes that should be here by end of next week, and also that all the remainder scopes are in Germany preparing for shipment.
Hopefully mine doesn't ever need to go back, but all things considered this seems like decent turn around

I sure hope this works out for you all (especially as one of the people who sung this scope's praises from fairly early on).

Just a reminder that if anyone gets their scopes back and they're working but you don't like them, there will likely still be some folks here who would pick them up.

I know that the Shoot2Hunt scope now fills some of the niche that the ZP5 THLR filled, but the ZP5 does have its own benefits. And, with confirmation that they're now discontinued, the folks who really wanted to pick one up (or those of us who might want an extra or a spare) will no doubt gladly take them off your hands.

Good luck - no doubt you'll let us know how you go.

I actually have one of two I purchased up for sale now. Going back and forth on selling it, as this more complete reticle will be impossible to find again, but in truth I only need the one I'm using, and this second one would just sit, possibly for years. Extremely happy with the performance though, they're genuinely amazing scopes.
