I’d say robic punches above its weight in water/wind resistance and durability. The properties that make it weather resistant also limit breathability. Cant have it all but like warden said, it’s not meant to be an active layer.
Robic is still 7d and I’m not sure I’d use it with down because you’ll lose insulation with holes and tears when you wouldn’t lose any apex.

Anyone with experience with the Kifaru pants and how well they resist saturating in wet weather?

I was just looking at the Nunatak site today. They have e a 10 week wait right now so they basically a no go for this hunting season. I may go with the GooseFeet gear. I ordered a couple things from them last year and they seem to be great quality.

The down and the synthetic fill different roles for me unfortunatly making things pretty expensive. When I’m hunting in dryer areas the down stuff is great but where I live it rains all the time and the kifaru LP parka and pants were awesome to pull out of the stuff sack and throw on while we ate and hung out after long days of freezing g while moose hunting from boats and rafts. I like the idea of throwing the LP parka and pants into a compression sack and having them stuffed away for an emergency or cold evening/morning around camp and glassing in inclement weather but they are not light nor compressible compared to down. This is my biggest complaint about kifaru, that they put zero effort into keeping the weight low.

I have the Kuiu Superdown Pro set and have been happy with them for cold dry weather. I haven't had them in really wet weather yet.

I have a Kifaru LPP jacket and plan to add the pants for a caribou hunt next year that has the potential to be really wet. I figure the peace of mind having synthetic insulation is worth the cost. I know the Kuiu down is water resistant, but without personal experience using it in really wet conditions I'll stick with synthetic for now.

The Pro set from Kuiu packs into a stuff sack about the size of a football without much effort and is pretty easy to have in the pack.

I have the Kuiu Kenai set also and love the zip off pants for warmer hunts. That set stops zero wind, but layered right works well. I can actually do some hiking in that set, not so much the Superdown Pro.
