Like teenagers, when politicians say something I believe their actions more than words. That’s what we tell our kids. I don’t believe anyone who says we’re going to be drilling when prices are low, the president, my mailman, father in law, the next president, the last president, or the homeless dude who lives behind Target. The evidence this is likely to happen just isn’t there. When someone is blowing smoke up our rear I tend to question other things they have to say - you know like real people do in the real world. I don’t trust used car salesmen and I feel bad when well intentioned folks fall for their sales pitch based on false information.

No, that reason is based exclusively on geology. Not politics, geopolitics, the price of oil, industry participation, or anything else you might have read or heard from any media organization or NGO.

We've been down this road (BHA and politics) here on Rokslide many times so no need to dredge it all back up in this thread. I'm sure it can be easily found with a search of this site.
I am a new member to BHA. I have been a member and or donated to probably at least a dozen other sports groups. Even assisted in starting a couple of local chapters. As long as a sports group subscribes to the NACM I don’t give a hoot who they dance with! Those threads are useless. Anyone who denigrates a sport group is only shooting themselves in the foot OR intentionally trying to divide us. Either way, it’s a dead end
i am glad you like being part of BHA. But BHA and their ilk spent years being overtly political and antagonistic. making enemies. WY BHA Chairman Buzz Hettick and Former Pres LT are prime examples. I will simply not allow you or anyone else to gas light me or the internet by pretending everyone is imagining things. BHA made their bed now they have to sleep in it.

I certainly agree with you about the BHA people you mentioned. It is all true….had personal spats myself. There is no reason for that type of political dissonance. I have seen it in other groups over the years. Those individuals either quickly get the boot or lose membership to the point that someone else steps up to the plate and steers back on course. If they are on the right side of the issues I will support them. If not then I won’t. But I can tell you from experience that to be successful you need as many supporters across the board as possible. Having said that I think it is a good thing to keep a pulse on these sport groups to ensure they are heading in the right direction.
