Just about to place an order for a manners eh8 plus for a proof barreled bighorn origin. Am I over looking any stocks in the 25–26 oz or less range?

Yes- the proof lightweight mountain hunter- phenomenal stock, same cost as the manners but the two I have were 19oz and change

***EDITED*** looks like you just sold one, so I guess there was something you didn't like?

Outside of the proof I don't think you will find what you want except maybe the AG Composite Privateer or Sportsman.

Mesa precision is a great stock in that weight range. 6lbs 8 ounces as she sits

That’s a sharp rifle. I’d like to get my hands on a Mesa...I’ve just never been a huge fan of vertical grip stocks....although.....the Allterra/axial carbon hunter peaks my interest. I like the idea of the negative comb.

That was going to be my other suggestion is the axial precision. I have one of those on order. That may be the perfect balance to what you’re looking for

I like the looks of that privateer. How’s agc wait time?
I’m sure the covid has slowed it down some lately.

I picked up a Carbon Hunter from Alterra last month.
They had one in stock that fit my needs so it only took a few weeks.
I've owned a Mesa Altitude, EH1, and a manners Game Scout.
The carbon hunter is by far my favorite
Give them a call occasionally they have something extra laying around

Thanks very much for the kind words about our AllTerra Carbon Hunter Stocks. The negative comb really does make a huge difference and the customizable fill weight from 24-36oz is really popular. Please give us a call if you'd like to discuss the right stock for your needs. Our General Manager, Damon Grant, will be happy to answer any questions you might have. 208.608.5179.

Mike, are you able to do a longer LOP (13.75-14") and still maintain the 24-25 ounce weight? Appears a lot of the weight is based on the size of the pad used?
