I'm really interested in how you did a Euro and kept the velvet on. Or is that the fake Taxidermist spray on velvet?“You can’t eat horns and tracks don’t make soup!”
I got a stern talking to by my mom when I mentioned my latest buck did not have eyeguards and that I was chasing another buck that was bigger ….
Have a merry Xmas everyone!

What a cool idea, might have to borrow that from you.
I've had good luck with wood stain.I taped them up really good with electrical tape before I bleached them then used a tooth brush to work it in around the antlers. The picture on the table was just after the wash down so they look really dark. The bigger one had just a little bit bleach through under the burs. It was the first time I had bleach a euro and it worked well. I've heard wood stain works well for recoloring.
What type of mount are you using on that sheep skull? ThanksThe sheep is a dead head I found this year while hunting elk. View attachment 360015View attachment 360016View attachment 360018 View attachment 360017

Looks really good! Did you boil, pressure wash or both? I am looking to get into doing my own as well.
First DIY, easy. Used to trade a taxi, he would take my hides and euro for free. No longer live near him so did my own.
