Was looking into MuleyFreak's latest poaching case on the interwebs and found Ryan Hatch of MuleyCrazy just got busted too. So many of these well known hunters get busted it makes you wonder how many of their animals are legit? Never got his magazine but watched some of his videos in the 90's.
The pressure to maintain celebrity status must be a thing. Sad.

With the new market hunting, you need to keep the horn pictures coming.

Then there's ego too, but I think when it becomes a paycheck people do what it takes to keep things going.

All about sponsorships and money. No company is paying a guy to shoot a few does and a small buck every other year. Posing with big antlers with certain gear infers "we" need the same gear to achieve the same result.

Pro hunters are like porn stars. If you think the hunting they do is like the hunting most of us do you are far from reality. The pressure people feel to stay in the spot light and pay the bills are probably immense. Not making an excuse for them but in any pro sport if you don’t perform your out. No different than a nfl player taking ped’s

One of the guys above said something similar to a phrase I say often. These guys turn our passion into pornography. Nothing good ever comes from monetizing and disrespecting the animal.

I am amazed all the guys that cant believe all this illegal activity going on . I think its worse now because of pressure to produce trophies every year , sponsors , social media ,and competition . Hunting has become more about horn porn and trophies over meat . This has been going on since someone figured out how to make a buck off hunting . Nothing new under the sun just next gen poachers

What’s funny is that I took my oldest into Muley Crazy last week when we were heading to AZ for a javelina hunt with my buddy. As we were walking around the shop checking the bucks out, I heard the guy tell 2 separate groups the exact same couple stories… Did you know that ANYONE that has enough fortitude to go hunt deep in “The Bob” can come out with a 350 bull if they work hard enough?
