PM Request - Durango/Silverton

I think this is vague enough to meet forum rules but apologies in advance if not.

I expect to be in the area west/north of Durango, CO this September on a DIY/backpack style excursion. I am planning a scouting trip and would like to get in touch with people that live in the area and/or have previously hunted there to get your thoughts on a few things I am thinking about.

I will not ask you for secret spots or where to find the e l k. My questions are mainly around:

-a few access points I am looking at & mobility on FS roads
-impact of minimal snow this winter
-weather/monsoons in July and August
-viability of some glassing spots
-big outfitter camps, avoiding them
-areas of highest recreational activity
-burger/pizza recs

I'm not sure what direction you're coming but if you can make it near Silt/New Castle the drive would be worth it to get to Hogback Pizza. Get the Triple Bypass and thank me later.
