Those mittens are the best aren’t they?!! Used while stationed in Alaska. Loved them.

Thadf: I bought about 6 pairs a few years back. I bought a pair for my dad in the 70s. The ones I wear are really old and don't have the nylon liners of the others. I have sewed up the seams as they have worn and added layers from nylon insulated underwear from the sixties. I have even replaced the outside mitts as I wore them out.

I have frozen my hands to numb and put those mitts on and been toasty warm within 15 min. They have saved me more times than I can remember over 40+ years.

Been 3 years in the making.
My horses packed their first elk Saturday.
No funny business, rode up, put the bags on, loaded and walked out. Smooth as can be just like it should be for me and them.

A boned out spike bull getting a ride to the truck. Boned out because I was hunting on foot and had to haul the elk a little ways on my back....that was dumb.
