I've got a 80 lb Matrix G3 on the way from Hoyt, but I'm gonna pick up a 70 lb Spyder 34 when I get off the mountain tomorrow.

Gonna shoot Gold Tip Big Game 100's out of the Matix, but I'm thinking I'll shoot 75/95 camo's out of the 34. They should weigh in around 430 grains and I'll probably shoot just over 70 lbs....hoping to get 290 out of it.

Anyone have actual speeds on the Sypder 34?

says the spyder 34 is 330 ATA

you should have no problems getting 290, i shoot a hoyt rampage xt at 70lbs, well it actually weighs out at 74lbs. I shoot a 430 grain arrow at 292fps and the bow ATA speed is 323

I did some math and figured 293 was what I would end up with. Shooting tournaments with an 85 lbs bow gets old:), so that's what I'm getting the Sypder for...

I know what I'll get out of the Matrix as I shot the same set up this season.

I have the spyder turbo. at 80 lbs and 29 inch draw shooting a 525 grain arrow, it clocked in at 288 fps. I hope this helps.

Been kinda iffy on getting rid of my insanity now I think I am sold. I don't think I will hear the end of it for jumping over to hoyt though. Brand new bowtech insanity anyone 29" 82lb

what draw length? I don't think you'll have any problem hitting 290. In fact I think you will easily exceed it with that weight arrow pulling 29" plus on the draw.

#2 cam at 28.5, but with a few twists in the bus to get extra pounds. Probably closer to 28.75-29 after twists.

That bow will actually perform better at that draw with the #2 cam over the #3 shortened to 29". I would bet you will be able to hit 300fps pretty easy.

I'm gonna do a video of the set-up, speed, arrow weight and accessories. I'll post it up this weekend.

What are some of the things that have drawn yourselves to the spyder bow? I shot 30 arrows through one couple weeks ago. It was not a favorite of mine by any strecth. Curious has to what I could be missing?
